* If your family is growing, but you don't find a minivan appealing, the Dodge Journey SUV offers seating for up to seven, an available V6 engine and all-wheel drive, and it will take on just about anything that can be crammed into a typical minivan while avoiding the minivan image. Source: KBB.com

* Though perfectly suited for the city, the 2014 Dodge Journey is always ready when you need a little quality time off the grid. And it does it in style with brilliant colors, distinctive features, and that signature Dodge look. Wherever you take it, the Journey brings comfort along for the ride for up to seven people. It is available in 5 models: the base American Value Package, SE, SXT, Limited and the top-of-the-line R/T. The Limited is a new trim for 2014. A 173 Horsepower, 2.4-Liter, 4-Cylinder Dual VVT Engine powers the American Value Package, SE and SXT models, in conjunction with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It gets an EPA estimated 26 MPG on the Highway, plus it can get over 500 highway miles per tank. The mid-range SXT gives you the choice between the 2.4-Liter or an incredible 283 Horsepower Pentastar V6 Engine to get your heart racing. The V6 is the standard engine in the Limited and R/T. The SXT, Limited and R/T can also be purchased with optional All-Wheel Drive. Further, all models come with AutoStick that gives you clutchless manual shifting for more exciting drives. Standard equipment for the Journey includes items like a 4.3-inch touch-screen AM/FM radio with CD player, a USB port and audio input jack, push-button start, in-floor storage in the 2nd row, a covered storage bin in the rear cargo area, and 17-inch wheels. Dependent on the trim you select, option possibilities include: 3-zone automatic air conditioning, 19-inch wheels, leather seating, 3rd-row seats, Flip ‘n Stow compartment, UConnect Hands-free Communication network, navigation, six premium speakers with subwoofer and a 368-watt amplifier, a rearview camera, and ParkSense parking assist. Also new for 2014, SiriusXM satellite radio is an option you can purchase on all trims. Your safety has been considered too with standard Traction Control, an array of airbags, Anti-Lock 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, Brake Assist, Stability Control, Roll Mitigation, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor. • Quality that is affordble

I really enjoy the Dodge Journey. However, when I purchased at 40k miles, the A/C warranty expired at 36k miles. The Freon tank was completely empty. Of course this uses the newer expensive Freon, and I immediately had to put $650 into it to get the hoses replaced and the tank full. I'm not sure if this is a common problem or not. There was no license plate mounts on the front, so it forced me to install one. Which was painful putting a hole in the car. Overall tho, for the price and the value gained this is a very affordable and reliable car for a middle class family like mine. I enjoy the sound system that came stock, The seats are very versatile as well. I would defenitly recommend this car to a friend.
  • My whole family love this car! Trouble free!

Used primarily as family hauler to Florida from Ohio. Great on highway, decent mpg, solid performance, great ride, decent handling, all around a great car! Kids from 16-26 love it. Trouble free for years with minimal upkeep. Absolute no mechanical failures of any type. It's truly been a great car. Had wanted something different, but family want me to buy another one. Spent today negotiating for a new one, going with black this time, old r/t is white, still looks great! Stick to v-6 model, the awd system is awesome, this thing goes through snow like a full sized truck based SUV. I highly recommend one to anyone. Great value for the money, you can spend a lot more, but these are the bargain waiting to be had.
  • Outstanding personal/small family car. We own 2!!

There simply is no better SUV value in terms of quality, ride, convenience, price than the Journey. We own both a 2014 Limited and a 2016 Crossroads. We could not be happier. We have had NO issues on either, one with 70k and the other with 50k miles. And I just ran the numbers this morning - with 72 month loans on both, putting both cars together at their different mileage and age values from Kelly Blue Book values, we are dead even on equity - meaning we are right on value with what we owe. That is rather astonishing with the negative reviews the Journey often receives. We would buy these cars again every time. Dont believe the experts - listen to the owners! Go Journey and Go Dodge!
